Ijtihad Journal for Islamic and Arabic Studies is issued by the Ijtihad Center for Studies and Training in Belgium and is registered in the Royal Belgian Library (KBR) and the National Scientific Library, under the serial number: ISSN: 2983-9939, ISSNe: 3041-4679. The journal is biannual and peer-reviewed according to international academic standards. The journal is concerned with Islamic and Arabic studies in Europe and the West, and the different issues that are related to this field of knowledge, such as Theological and Religious Studies, Orientalism, Occidentalism, Interfaith Dialogue, Pluralism, Comparative Religion, Jurisprudence of Muslim Minorities, and Otherness, among others.

بعد تفكير طويل، تم التوصل إلى حل وسط فيما يتعلق بالمرحلة الأولى من المجلة التي تمتد إلى حدود العدد الرابع أو الخامس، وهو أن المقالات التي تم قبولها من طرف التحكيم السري سوف يتم نشرها، على أن نتكلف بتعاون مع بعض الباحثين في هيئة التحرير بتعديلها وتجويدها، ويمكن لأصحابها تحميلها من موقع المجلة واستعمالها كما يريدون، لكن سوف نعتمد رسوما مناسبة لمن يريد شهادة القبول أو النشر أو كلاهما، وقد تم تحديدها في 50 يورو على المقالة، و30 يورو على المراجعة، و0 يورو على الترجمة.

Vol. 1 No. 1 (1): Ijtihad Journal for Islamic and Arabic Studies

The first issue of Ijtihad Journal for Islamic and Arabic Studies includes an editorial and twelve articles, three articles in English, one article in French, and the other eight articles in Arabic. The issue also contains three reviews and one translation. The editorial is written by the editor-in-chief and responsible for the journal, Dr. Tijani Boulaouali, in which he reviewed the subjective and objective circumstances that necessitated the launch of this research project.
The first issue is enriched with valuable academic contributions by researchers from different generations, specializations, contexts, and languages. Various Islamic topics in Europe and the West are discussed, such as freedom of religion, mixed marriage, the institution of the imam, and the veil. In addition, attention is paid to other issues, including the jurisprudence of reality, the objectives of Sharia, the Moroccan family code, jihad, atheism, Sufism, and others.
