Abstract
The editorial is written by the Editor-in-Chief of Ijtihad Journal, Dr. Tijani Boulaouali, discussing the subjective and objective reasons that necessitated the launch of this academic and research initiative. In addition, he emphasizes that Muslims have become an integral part of contemporary European and Western society. That requires an internal approach to Islam, using authentic Islamic sources with attention to the postmodern thought and culture.
